Jane-Kim

Jane Kim

Jane interned at Stark Design in her sophomore year at Parsons while studying Communication Design. She is originally from Michigan, has lived in Korea and Kentucky, and currently resides in New York City. Jane is addicted to design, especially the interactive quality of it. She is often inspired by architecture and short ocean films. After interning at Stark Design, Jane continues to practice her skills as a freelancer and intern in New York City.
 


Philip

Wei Heng (Philip) Huang

Originally from Taiwan, Philip went to school in Canada and came to New York to study Product Design at Parsons. In his quest to become an expert Product Designer, Philip sharpened his skills as a Stark Design intern with an ultimate goal to design more useful products for human society.

Denice-Kim

Denice Kim

Denice was born in Virginia, grew up in Seoul, Korea, and graduated from high school in Vancouver, Canada. She then decided to come back to the United States and study design. She graduated from the Communication Design program at Parsons in 2009. Denice is determined, eager, open to learning, and driven to do her best in anything and everything. She was a welcome addition to our team as an intern.

 


Eungi

Eungi Cho

Eungi was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. She currently lives in New York City, studying Communication Design at Parsons School of Design. She interned at Stark Design during her senior year and has also gained experience at MTV and Nokia as a graphic design intern. Before she was a graphic designer, she studied classical music and played viola. Music serves as one of her greatest inspirations.

 


Maite

Maite Rios

Maite Rios was born and raised in Puerto Rico. She is a graduate of the Package Design Masters program at Pratt Institute and studied undergrad Graphic Design at Carnegie Mellon University. She gets a lot of her inspiration from the fashion industry, especially from textiles and color trends. She has worked within various industries, from the Telemundo Network in the Web Marketing department to the Tory Burch web team.

 


Soo Yen Lee

Soo Yen is all the way from Seoul, Korea but has lived in the U.S. for years, in Los Angeles and Virginia before ending up in New York City. She is currently studying Communication Design at Parsons School of Design and will be graduating in May 2012. Always positive and eager to work, Soo Yen has been a bright addition to Stark Design. It’s no surprise she’s an avid reader, but not many would guess she’s also an active athlete, enjoying snowboarding in the winter and playing squash and tennis in the warmer months.

Jyotsna Lakhiani

Jyotsna interned at Stark Design during her Senior year at Parsons. She is raised in Dubai and also studied at Parsons Paris. She helped us transition while moving offices and gained more knowledge about the workings of various design projects, print and interiors, and entering design competitions. She continues to practice as a freelancer in New York and back home.

Ping-Chien (Vicky) Huang

Originally from Taiwan, Vicky studied in Canada, where she decided to pursue a career in art and design, before coming to New York. She has always loved to draw and create and is now focusing on graphic design, advertising and branding at Parsons School of Design, as a Junior in Communication Design. She is inspired by design that is simple, pure, and effective and would like to expand her skills to include interactive and information design.

Sascha Mombartz

Sascha Mombartz is the Creative Director at Urtak, where he is in charge of the captivating user experience behind a tool that will help the world discover public opinion in a new way. Previously he worked at Stark Design, the New York Times and at Google’s Creative Lab in New York as web and interaction designer. Son to a German diplomat and a Maltese Mother, he grew up in Ethiopia, Thailand, Egypt and Germany. He studied Art & Design at the Cooper Union.

Misato Yamada

Misato is a Graphic and Web Designer in New York City. Raised in Japan, she came to Parsons School of Design to major in the Design and Technology MFA program. During her education, Misato joined Stark Design as a Graphic Design intern, and, since, has continued to gain work experience in New York, specializing in websites, mobile applications, and flash animations.
