Rouge Tomate Restaurant

Identity, Packaging, Spaces, Media & Ads

The critically acclaimed, Michelin-starred Rouge Tomate restaurant is known for its commitment to using locally-sourced, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients to create delicious, healthy and responsible cuisine. Our long relationship with them allowed us to impact their business across media, spaces and products — and create a consistently fresh brand story.

The Challenge

Compliment the restaurant’s impeccable food, peerless service and stunning interior design with branding materials that mirror the warmth and perfection of the experience. Evolve the branding to reflect the cleanliness of the presentation and extend the brand into products and new locations. Through it all, develop and produce materials that are in line with the ethos of the brand and in harmony with the environment.

The Solution

Our approach was to always be faithful to the ethos of the brand — a holistic approach to simplicity, material and detail. As an example, when the concept was to be presented to hospitality partners for global expansion, we created a gorgeously printed, casebound book with red fabric binding cloth wrapping thick, unfinished paperboard covers, blind embossed with the Rouge Tomate logo.

For the menu program, we developed re-loadable holders for frequent updates using responsibly sourced materials and a mix of recycled papers produced from stone, vegetables or bamboo.

As the elemental DNA of the brand, the logo’s red square serves as the ultimate building block… repeating, replicating and recurring throughout products, vehicles, spaces, emails, invitations, dishes, menus and more.

Rouge Tomate represents the experience of incomparable cuisine, unmatched in every way — a standard we strived to uphold in everything we created for them.
